About this holiday cottage
This small group of holiday cottages has been converted from the old barns adjacent to the owners lovely country house. They have been finished to a very high standard with quality fittings and fixtures whilst retaining much of their original character and charm with exposed beams and wood burning stoves.
Situated less than 2 miles from the popular, busy fishing village of Staithes they are surrounded by open countryside and there is access to a 4 acre paddock. Very comfortably and tastefully furnished the cottages are cosy and compact, have been very well equipped and well maintained, and are personally supervised by the owners.
There is a small games room on site which includes a 3/4 size snooker table, table tennis, air hockey and many books, board games and DVDs. The owners can provide special event dinners in the house along with guided walks in the area.
Tai Chi lessons and personal tuition available.
This location is an ideal base for touring throughout the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Coast. Whitby is approximately 10 miles away and the market towns of Pickering and Helmsley are within easy driving distance. For the walker there are some excellent country walks and rambles throughout the immediate area.
Ground floor open plan lounge with dining area and fitted kitchen area with doors to terraced garden, double bedroom (this can be a separate dining room when 4 people use the cottage) with en-suite wet room with toilet and basin. First floor - 2 bedrooms - 1 super king size double with en suite bathroom, 1 twin with en-suite shower room. Note: This cottage is suitable for wheelchair users and the disabled.
Wood burning stove in lounge - initial supply of logs included, further supplies available at cost. Central heating - all power included in the rent. Colour T.V.s with freeview and DVD players in all rooms, shaver points, showers, fridge/freezer, automatic washer/dryer, dishwasher. Bed linen and towels are included. Terraced garden with furniture. Shared games room and 4 acre paddock. Wi-fi available at extra charge. Parking for 2 cars. Well behaved pets by arrangement please at an extra charge of £10 per pet per week. Sorry no children under the age of 3. Note: This is a non smoking cottage.
