Your perfect holiday starts here

Yorkshire Dales

Visit the Yorkshire Dales and you will not be disappointed. Each Dale enjoys its own distinct atmosphere. From the high heather-tipped ridges, down through the narrow valleys it is difficult to ignore the immense size of the Dales. A maze of bridleways and footpaths lead off from the famous Pennine Way, which runs across the head of Wensleydale, and the rambler will enjoy a rich tapestry of quaint little villages and hamlets, waterfalls, mountain streams, gorges and open wild moorland.

Within this natural arena is a framework of bustling market towns like Richmond, Leyburn, Settle, Skipton and Ripon where rainy days can be spent hunting for bargains. In the more remote parts the smaller villages and hamlets have retained their 'Yorkshire' character and farming is the main source of livelihood. Each village has its own distinctive feel, many possessing historical buildings, all having the special warm 'Dales' welcome.

Whether touring or walking the Yorkshire Dales has much to offer everyone. There are many places of interest to visit and endless footpaths to follow in this magnificent holiday area.
