Booking Dates and Prices

All bookings are Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated in the individual property description. Xmas and New Year bookings in 2010 generally run Wednesday to Wednesday. The prices are per property and are inclusive of V.A.T. @ 17.5%

Short Breaks

These are readily available through the Winter Season and can be booked at any time. During the remainder of the year, breaks can be accommodated, but only if booked within ten days of the start date.

Bed Linen

Where there is no mention of linen in the services section then it will be necessary for you to provide your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, teatowels and tablecloth. If linen hire is available then this is sheets and pillowcases at an extra charge of 5 pounds per person per week, and this should be indicated on your booking form. Cot bedding is not provided at any cottage and you will therefore need to bring your own.

Cleaning

All our properties are cleaned between lets, but it would be of great help to the owner if the property were left in the same condition as it was found. The departure time is normally 10.30 a.m. and the arrival time 2.30 p.m. These times may vary slightly from cottage to cottage but the correct times will be specified with your holiday confirmation. Some owners may ask for a security deposit against excessive cleaning/damage.

Pets

Each property description states whether pets are allowed. Where this is by arrangement then Holiday Cottages must be notified at the time of booking. Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds, and that they must not be left unattended in the property. We trust that all holidaymakers bringing pets on holiday with them will abide by the Country Code.

All our properties are inspected by a Director of the company to ensure they meet our high standards.

Phrases and their meanings

The phrase furnished to a high standard means that the properties so described are amongst the best we have to offer. Luxurious is obviously very subjective depending on ones own ideas of luxury, but you will find these properties to be of extremely high quality. Comfortably furnished means that the accommodation has been adequately furnished, offering homely but not luxurious accommodation. Simply furnished means that the accommodation has not been fully modernised, and usually refers to traditional old Dales cottages and farmhouses.

Each property contains

a) Kitchen - sink unit, draining board, electric or gas cooker with hot plates, grill and oven, refrigerator large enough for the maximum number of people stated, and adequate cooking utensils.

b) All cutlery, crockery and glassware for the maximum number of people stated.

c) Bathroom (all have bath) or shower room (just a shower), indoor flush toilet and hand wash basin, which are on the first floor unless described otherwise.

d) Comfortable beds with either spring or foam mattresses with adequate blankets or duvets, and pillows.

e) Hot water in both bathroom and kitchen

How to book

When you have chosen the property you require it is often a good idea to check that the number of people in your party does not exceed the maximum number the property will accommodate.

May we suggest that you make two or three alternative choices, in case the popularity of the property is such that it is not available for the weeks you require, and telephone us with your booking - 01756 700510.

We will then provisionally reserve the property for you for five days allowing you plenty of time to complete and forward your booking form and deposit. On receipt of this we will confirm the booking in writing.
