Further North the sea cliffs are higher and the charming old fishing villages of Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes have been cut into the cliffs stretching down to the water's edge. This is Heartbeat country and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway threads its way between Pickering and Grosmont transporting visitors back in time to the romantic days of steam!
